Meditation Instruction

“It is very important to go out alone, to sit under a tree, and observe the falling of a leaf, hear the lapping of the water, the fishermen’s song, watch the flight of a bird, and of your own thoughts as they chase each other across the space of your mind. If you are able to be alone and watch these things, then you will discover extraordinary riches which no government can tax, no human agency can corrupt, and which can never be destroyed.” - Jiddu Krishnamurti
I'm a trained and certified meditation instructor in the Vipassana tradition, and am available to accompany both individuals and groups in meditation practice.
Vipassana is one of the oldest known meditation techniques, focusing on seeing ourselves and our lives as they truly are. It involves systematically observing physical sensations and mental patterns throughout the body to develop a deep understanding of the impermanent nature of all phenomena.
The practice typically involves maintaining moment-to-moment awareness of breath and bodily sensations, observing thoughts and emotions without judgment, and developing clarity and wisdom through direct experience.
Together, we can deepen your mindfulness practice, and meet challenges with curiosity.
Sessions are generally 60 minutes long, with some of that time being devoted to meditating together, and also with learning techniques that can assist your practice. We can also combine your meditation practice with Spiritual Direction, if you wish.
If you have questions about personal meditation guidance, I’d love to set up a free introductory session with you. Please email me at Tamara@WildWisdomJourney.org
